If you are Essex, London or Hertfordshire… you had better watch out… You are likely to be immortalised in my ramblings if you are not careful…
Really… do something silly and it’s a red rag to a bull… instant attraction that creates a charge for the laptop… highly entertaining and perfect blog fodder… thanks for that…
Say something that makes me smile and you have even more chance of ending up the star of your very own blog… ok I may not name you..
Upset me… and you are a big business? Well you’re fair game then really… especially if your service is seriously shocking… it’s a whole new world out there where we share… lots!
But better still show me a picture that’s worthy of mention and it becomes currency…. seriously… this is absolutely true… ask Kevin Arrow… oops he hasn’t read the next blog yet! His missus snapped my hand off for the offer of two blog posts for the picture… and he is… well you will just have to wait and see!! But blogs as currency is an interesting concept… may have to explore that further… well we already have blogging for business!
Is nothing sacred? Every last anecdote is a quick fix for the blogger… the whispered conversations in a restaurant that you thought no one had heard… the passing of the day in the supermarket queue… even the yummy mummy gossip at the gates of the school…. all ready, willing and able to give Joe or Jasmine Blogger their next high….
Newspapers are boring and old hat… fit only for wrapping tomorrow’s fish and chips in.. oh wait no they can’t even do that anymore… So it’s lining the budgie cage then… personally I like a paper… especially on a weekend… but more often than not I will read on-line… and with the advent of kindles and ipads this is becoming much more the norm. Blogs are fun… the new black… in fact… rainbow coloured… they are vibrant, glowing, passionate and alive… the creme de la creme of the catwalk. Real people writing about real things… in real time. Funny, serious, amusing just as they are thought of. Even better with no preconceived ideas of what should go where and why… Now this coming from someone who has read since tiny.. even the print on the back of the cornflake packet was fair game… and you know what? I don’t intend to stop now.
Blogging is very addictive… your brain flies off in all directions savouring words, creating headlines even whilst waiting at the traffic lights when you should be worrying about being late… seeing the story in every little thing you do or witness… and you can relive it by sharing. Your world suddenly takes on a whole new look.. a black and white monotone existance is suddenly glorious technicolour as every conversation, picture, book, anecdote and incident is reproduced as your next blog post… a sort of movie makers eye for production…
If you happen to live or work in Essex, London or Hertfordshire (or actually further afield if I am on my frequent training travels) you had better watch out as I am now armed with the camera on my blackberry… and can easily illustrate my blogs on the fly! So no excuses… You have been warned…
Did you know google and other search engines love blogs and that marketing people are using bloggers more and more to get their products seen? … this is really a great excuse for getting your creative juices flowing… so when can I look forward to seeing yours? The sooner you start scribbling the easier it gets… before you know it you will need to knock out a blog or two before breakfast every day… and if you seem to have misplaced your mojo… get in touch and happy to inject some enthusiasm back… or you could connect with blogger extraordinaire Sarah Arrow…
Look forward to seeing you on-line…
