I admit that I have now stopped reading newspapers 'offline'. I used to scan the websites of the papers I wanted to follow, but I agree, now that I am enmeshed in twitter I just wait for twitter to lead me to stories I want to follow up in greater depth.

It's like the kindle/printed book debate. Somehow I find it hard to believe that electronic means of delivery will ever replace the printed word but they are certainly taking a larger and larger proportion.

Indeed printed media has had its day for breaking news. However I think there will always be a place for Sunday papers. Nothing better than sitting in the garden reading the Sunday paper and magazines that come with it.

I have had the news via twitter (the tsunami in Japan) and on facebook (Whitney's death). Social media gives us the snippets but newspapers still give us the stories behind the news.
