Let’s step it up a gear playing with twitter stats… now size matters to some people but really… I prefer quality over quantity… your choice and it does rather depend on who you are and what you do!

Charlie Sheen has just amassed a massive following after his public outburst about one of his bosses… so this new influx of fans needs managing…. hence his tie up with an American Intern company… his record breaking rise to twitterdom can be seen very nicely in this graph…

You can track your own twitter rise (though it’s almost certainly not as impressive) by going to Twitter Counter and adding your own twitter account to the top right hand side… here’s mine…

If you are really that sad you can check your stats hourly… weekly… monthly…. quarterly or half yearly… As well as check out following, tweets, mentions, retweets etc. This is a pretty cool app and certainly worth a look. The more advanced functions are paid fors but they are very useful for some people. These functions will also be available on the new version of hootsuite… their analytics are very cool and can even analyse your facebook fan page and web site with the right code in. The $150 dollar max price tag would certainly need some serious use to be worth it! The entry level for more functionality is $15 dollars which is more than hootsuite’s $6.

You can also grab widgets for other social profiles should you wish… just grab the code from the widgets tabs and keep yourself up to date with your favourite top tweeters in the Top 100…

There are quite a few fun functions on this app including comparing yourself against someone else… why not try against your competition…?
